Due to road conditions Faith Formation will be canceled in the morning and evening of December 8th. The 5:30pm Saturday and Sunday evening Masses are canceled as well.
The U.S. bishops have called for a Fortnight for Freedom, a two-week period of prayer and action, to address many current challenges to religious liberty, including the August 1, 2013 deadline for religious organizations to comply with the HHS mandate, Supreme Court rulings that could attempt to redefine marriage in June, and religious liberty concerns in areas such as immigration and humanitarian services. The Golf Tournament will take place at the Grand Oaks Golf Club in Grand Prairie followed by the Awards Dinner at Holy Spirit's Community Center. Deadline for entries is Apr 30.
Invitations to the celebration have been mailed to those who are eligible based upon our parish census date for wedding anniversaries of 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65 years of marriage in 2012. Preparations for Fall Festival are in full swing. We are now accepting rummage items and silent auction items. Help needed on several committees and preparing raffle ticket packets.
We are looking for a few good men and/or women to become a part of our Children’s Ministry. If you would like to volunteer as a catechist or catechist’s aide, please contact Deborah for more information. It can be a powerful experience working with the children of our parish as they build upon their faith.

Adult Volunteers are needed on Sunday nights to assist us with the JHY & HSY Faith Formation Youth Ministry program.
We need youth mentors, classroom aides, hospitality ministers, music ministers, snack ministers, hall monitor and more!
