The geographical boundaries of Holy Spirit Catholic Church encompass more than twenty-five square miles of diverse territory in Southwest Dallas County, Texas. Unlike the urban neighborhood parishes of a century ago, the modern parish does not share the same small geographical area, the same ethnic makeup, the same economic base, or any of the other natural bonds that existed in those small communities.
With nearly 8,000 parishioners of all races, economic backgrounds, educational levels and national origins, special effort must be made to create the sense of fellowship and community which is the lifeblood of any church.
This work is the work of the Holy Spirit. Our Community Life Commission exists merely as a conduit for the work of the Spirit in linking us together in love!
Community Life fosters a spirit of unity among all the households within our parish family. We work to build up the Body of Christ by encouraging an ongoing spirit of fellowship, friendship and service.
