Ministers, mostly children, who symbolize the role of the Christian assembly by their serving presence at the celebration of the Mass. Must be in at least the fourth grade, 10 yrs of age or older, have received the Sacrament of First Holy Communion, regular participation in Faith Formation and attend Altar Server training.
Help distribute communion to the assembly during Mass. Those seeking participation in this ministry must commit to training and formation and must have a great devotion to our Lord, present in the Eucharist, meet specific requirements and attend training.
Those called to proclaim The Word of God during mass and other liturgical celebrations. Mandatory training is required of lectors because of the significance of this ministry. Open to adults and confirmed youth.
All parishioners are welcome to serve. Choir and Cantors lead and inspire the community in prayer through the gift of song during the Mass. All Choir members are invited to be Cantors. Rehearsals are scheduled for each Mass. Those serving in this ministry need to commit to regular times of practice and ministry.
Hospitality Ministers serve by taking up the collections, assisting in seating, directing parishioners during Communion, distribution of bulletins and representing the community as a welcoming presence to guests.
Work to keep the altar area and linens clean for all liturgies. Sets up for Masses and other worship services. Also sees that vestments and appointments are clean and orderly.
