Bishop's Awards Recipients 2013

Teddie Anderson and Donzella Hines were recently honored as the 2013 recipients of the second annual Bishop’s Medal for Service to the Church.

“I’m honored, but I feel that I do what I do for the church,” Teddie said. “It’s God’s talent; it’s not mine.” Many parishioners recognize Teddie as the volunteer director of the annual rummage sale that’s held during the Fall Festival. However Teddie has also been active in multiple Holy Spirit ministries through the years, particularly in Adult & Family Ministry.

Donzella Hines is our Outreach Ministry Commissioner, volunteered as our Festival Committee Co-Chair for the last three years, serves in the 9:30am choir and has been involved in our ministries for 10 years.

A Mass of celebration with Bishop Kevin Farrell was held Saturday, February 23rd at the Cathedral Shrine of the Virgin of Guadalupe where the 138 diocesan honorees were each presented with a medal and a certificate for their years of service.
