Has at its central focus the sanctity of life of from conception to natural death. The group meets for prayer, public witness, education, political action and support services through a variety of parish and diocesan activities including a monthly meeting of the Holy Spirit Pro-Life Group. The group assists with Project Gabriel and Project Rachel, diocesan services to the pre-born and those who are in the process of healing from abortion.
The Catholic Church proclaims that life is sacred and that the dignity of the human person is the foundation of a moral vision for society. All people are made in the image and likeness to God. In our society, human life is under attack from abortion and assisted suicide. The value of human life is being threatened by increasing use of the death penalty. People do not lose dignity because of disability, poverty, age, lack of success, or race. We believe that every person is precious, people are more important than things, and that the measure of every institution is whether it threatens or enhances the life and dignity of the human person.
